In 1823 Philip Stanton founded a law firm in Newcastle upon Tyne. This firm was carried on by his successors until 1971 when Stanton Croft & Co was established. Philip would now not recognise the modern four partner firm that has evolved with two prestigious offices in central Gosforth and Jesmond.
